What if the forest could speak?
On November 4, 2026, Les Mamans du Congo and Rrobin take over the 360 Paris Music Factory to celebrate the release of WA SANGI ("Listen to the Forest"), their third album.
Led by Gladys Samba and the voices of Les Mamans du Congo, produced and shaped by Rrobin, with Mel Malonga on arrangement and percussion, WA SANGI opens a new chapter in the project. After placing women, mothers and transmission at the heart of their music, the group broadens its narrative to a threatened forest that becomes a character in its own right.
It speaks, warns, recounts its disappearance. It evokes the water that is scarce, the lands that are exhausted, the threatened Indigenous communities, the women who work in the shadows, and the social realities of a Congo facing profound upheavals.
On stage, Gladys Samba and Les Mamans du Congo embody these stories through their polyphonies, their dances and their traditional rhythms. Rrobin extends this material with organic electronics, while Mel Malonga structures the rhythms and arrangements. Tam-tams, lokolés, jerrycans, stones and salvaged objects converse with the machines and video projections.
An immersive and engaged live performance, between trance, electronic music and oral traditions, where the voices become a space of resistance and transmission.
WA SANGI is listening to what disappears. And perhaps, at last, beginning to hear it.
