On December 4, 2026, Carl Craig brings an extended set to Night Tales in London, taking his time to move through three decades of Detroit-rooted techno and the many shapes it’s taken in his hands. A key figure of the city’s second wave, Craig has always treated the club as a place where electronic music can talk to jazz, soul, ambient, and even orchestral ideas without losing its drive.
Founder of Planet E Communications, he’s known for constantly shifting perspectives through his own name and aliases like Paperclip People and Innerzone Orchestra. Expect a deep, narrative-style journey that can slip from stripped, hypnotic grooves into warmer, more expansive passages, with nods to defining cuts like “Throw” and “Bug in the Bassbin,” plus the album worlds he built on records such as Landcruising.
