Led by Dylan Slocum’s clear-cut voice, the LA crew mixes wiry guitars, thick choruses and increasingly present keys, with lyrics that dig into anxiety, social fatigue and the everyday grind. From the sharper edge of Schmaltz to the tightened, direct punch of Brave Faces Everyone and the fuller, more expansive feel of No Joy, their songs are built to hit hard and sing loud without losing the bite.
Opening the night, Carly Cosgrove bring their Philly DIY energy: a trio twisting emo-pop-punk with mathy rhythms, quick tempo shifts and melodies that stick.
