On September 26, Rage Sacrée returns with a new off-site date, performing off the premises. Petit Bain teams up with the Irish Cultural Centre to host Landless as part of the Chapel Sessions.
The Chapel Sessions are intimate concerts held in the Irish Cultural Centre's 18th-century chapel, and highlight the voice(s).
Originating from Dublin, Landless is a vocal quartet founded in 2013, drawing from the Irish traditional singing scene and the Sacred Harp community. The group is recognised as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary folk, thanks to its a cappella harmonies and its sensitive approach to the traditional repertoire.
On Lúireach, produced by John "Spud" Murphy (Lankum, ØXN), Landless enriches its universe with a few instruments subtly integrated, while remaining faithful to the power of its voices. The album gathers Irish traditional songs, more recent compositions, and tunes from elsewhere, performed with a depth that gives them a timeless dimension.
Through this repertoire, the group focuses in particular on narratives highlighting strong, assertive female figures, while celebrating the richness and diversity of the traditional musical heritage.
