On 27 September 2026, Dominic Miller brings his own music to The Old Market in Brighton, stepping out from the “Sting’s guitarist” label with the kind of set he’s been building across a dozen solo albums. Born in Buenos Aires and trained between Berklee in Boston and London’s Guildhall, Miller’s writing lives in the cracks between jazz, Latin pulse, folk melodicism and a chamber-like sense of space. Onstage, he plays with a fingerstyle touch that’s all nuance and clear lines, leaving plenty of room for the band to breathe.
Joined by bassist Nicolas Fiszman, drummer Ziv Ravitz and keyboardist Mike Lindup, he leans into the tight, listening-first interplay of a small ensemble. Expect pieces from his ECM era, including music from Vagabond and Absinthe, plus fresh, jazz-angled takes on songs he helped shape with Sting and The Police, like “Fields of Gold” and “Shape of My Heart”.
