Info
Diggy Dex, also known as Koen Jansen, brings his Dutch-language rap and songwriting to Theater Kerkrade in Kerkrade on March 12, 2027. Do not expect a straightforward hip-hop show, but the distinctive mix he has claimed his own corner with for years: narrative verses, plenty of melody, and choruses that could just as easily come from pop or chanson. In his songs, everyday scenes unfold, relationships that rub, doubts that linger, and small observations that sound grand once the beat drops. Since his first steps in the scene in the early 2000s and albums such as Verhalen vanuit de sofa, Mayonaise Voor De Ziel and Do It Yourself Society, he has steadily moved toward a band- and songwriting-focused approach. With Golven, that hybrid style became even sharper: hip-hop rhythms alongside folk and soul textures, with room for dynamics and lyrics. Live, that means moving with the rhythm, singing along, and pausing to reflect on what lies between the lines.
