Info
On November 4, 2026, Beta2300 in Copenhagen hosts a rare double bill built around Jonathan Meiburg’s two key projects: Loma and Shearwater.
With Loma, Meiburg teams up with Emily Cross and Dan Duszynski for songs that move between indie and art rock, with an ambient pop edge. Expect slow-burning writing, careful space, discreet electronics and textures that feel as much like atmosphere as rhythm. Since their self-titled debut on Sub Pop and the more open, brass-tinted Don’t Shy Away, the trio has kept pushing that balance between organic sound and abstract production, most recently with How Will I Live Without a Body? (2024).
Shearwater comes from Austin’s late-90s indie scene and has grown into a flexible band shaped by Meiburg’s voice and vivid songwriting. From the “Island Arc” era (Rook, The Golden Archipelago) to the more direct rock turn of Animal Joy and later records like Jet Plane and Oxbow, their set should sit somewhere between indie rock, folk-psych and expansive arrangements, with nature imagery never far away.
