On 5 October 2026, Mansur Brown lands at New Century in Manchester with his slippery, genre-blurring instrumental sound. Raised in Brixton’s forward-leaning scene, he’s built a language where contemporary jazz and fusion brush up against abstract hip-hop swing and discreet electronic textures, all carried by guitar lines that feel both precise and loose at the same time.
Whether he’s stretching out into improvisation or locking into tighter, song-like forms, Brown keeps the focus on rhythm and atmosphere: fragmented beats, warm low-end, and those meditative spaces where the music breathes. Expect pieces drawn from Shiroi, Heiwa and the NAQI EP, reshaped for the stage and stitched together with that London broken-beat sensibility.
