Info
The Lilacs roll into Birmingham on March 12, 2027 for a live set at O2 Institute Birmingham, bringing the tight, energetic indie rock that’s made them a standout on the UK circuit. Hailing from Wigan, the quartet leans on direct, ringing guitars, big singalong choruses, and that classic British live-band drive where everything is built for the room.
Frontman Ollie Anglesea leads the charge with a straight-ahead vocal style that suits their punchy songwriting, backed by Sam Birchall on guitar, Dave Gomersall on drums, and Matt Johnson on bass. Since locking in the lineup in 2018, they’ve sharpened their sound through constant gigging across England, including rooms in the O2 Academy network and a slot at the Isle of Wight Festival.
Expect songs that hit fast and clean, with “Vicarage Road” sitting right at the core of their identity: indie rock with pop instincts, meant to be shouted back from the crowd.
