One of Denmark's leading jazz musicians is back with a new band, a new album, and a Denmark-wide tour in 2027. Chris Minh Doky has for decades been among the most prominent Danish names on the international jazz scene. With roots in the Nordic jazz tradition and many years in New York among some of the genre's great profiles, he has created a distinctive musical voice that has earned him recognition as a bassist.
In 2027 he opens a new chapter with the album Midnight Songs, which will be released in the spring. He now brings the album's band on tour to the country's larger venues. The audience can look forward to a concert experience where strong melodies, virtuosic ensemble playing, and presence meet the spontaneous power of jazz. The music moves between Nordic elegance and an international scope, and each concert offers room for both surprises and intense moments.
The tour will visit, among others, Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense and Copenhagen. This is Chris Minh Doky's first Danish concerts in a year and a half and the only opportunity to see him live in Denmark in 2027.
