Info
New Stars Production and house music in Basel have been closely linked for more than two decades. Since 2003, the label has stood for nights with a clear musical vision and has drawn, over the years, names such as Dennis Ferrer, Junior Jack, Sandy Rivera, and The Martinez Brothers to Basel. On October 10, New Stars will continue this story at Das Viertel and welcome guest DJ Gregory, a fitting guest for the occasion.
The Frenchman Grégory Darsa has been one of the defining figures of the French house scene since the 1990s. Together with Bob Sinclar he was part of the Africanism project; later he founded his own label Faya Combo. Productions such as 'Tropical Soundclash' and 'Elle' became fixtures on international dance floors and exemplify his sound, which blends house with African and Latin American influences, percussion, and groove. Also under his alias Point G, Gregory has over the years repeatedly shown new facets of his work.
At his side stand four DJs, Cristian Tamborrini, Claudio Carrera, Fred Linger and Robbie Romero, who complete the evening musically. Thus, a Basel house institution meets an artist whose music has shaped clubs for decades and continues to resonate to this day.
