Info
On November 6, 2026, at Circolo Magnolia, Takuya Nakamura—a Japanese trumpeter and keyboardist based in New York—arrives, with a live set designed to balance improvisation and electronic drive. Trained in the United States at the New England Conservatory with George Russell, Nakamura brings to the stage a way of writing and playing in which harmony and rhythm fit together naturally, with no sharp boundaries between concert and club.
In his set you can hear the city: contemporary jazz that blends with jungle, broken beat and dancefloor pulsations, amid dense textures and constant shifts in direction. Between production, DJing and live instruments, he builds a collective and mobile flow, born also from his experiences with NERVE, Jojo Mayer's project, and from collaborations with artists such as David Byrne and Arto Lindsay. An evening for those who seek groove and freedom, more than labels.
