Info
On October 30, 2026, Freestylers land at The Piper for an Insomnia Halloween special that leans straight into what made UK dance floors sweat in the first place. Matt Cantor and Aston Harvey have been shaping their own lane since the mid-90s, sitting right at the crossroads of breakbeat, big beat, hip-hop and electro, with that rave-and-soundsystem energy built for peak-time moments.
For this night, expect a set that nods to the late 90s and early 00s club DNA without getting stuck in nostalgia: chunky breaks, bass-heavy swing, and quick turns between acid-tinged pressure and urban edge. Freestylers’ long run of releases and DJ culture credentials shows in how they stitch genres together, keeping it punchy and dancefloor-first while leaving room for deeper bass mutations when the room’s ready.
