Raised in Los Angeles and shaped by a hands-on, DIY start, he writes in a direct way: short lines that hit quickly, muted guitars, and melodies that slide between indie pop, alternative R&B, and bedroom pop without forcing a label.
After early releases like Demos Before Prom and Shower Shoes, he broke through when tracks such as Art House and Roommates started circulating widely, before moving into a bigger chapter with Columbia on the Sweet Boy mixtape.
