On January 17, 2027, the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver hosts a night built for classic metal heads, with 3 Inches Of Blood back in action and Unleash The Archers on the bill.
Formed in Victoria and shaped by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, 3 Inches Of Blood made their name on fast, twin-guitar heavy songs fueled by power metal drive and fantasy-coded imagery. Their signature has long been the contrast between Cam Pipes’s piercing highs and rougher vocals, pushing martial choruses and riff-first momentum that hit straight to the point. Since reforming in 2023 with Cam Pipes, Justin Hagberg, Shane Clark, Nick Cates and Ash Pearson, they’ve been bringing back a set that pulls from key records like Advance and Vanquish, Fire Up the Blades, and Long Live Heavy Metal.
From Vancouver, Unleash The Archers blend traditional heavy metal, power metal hooks and sharper melodic-death flashes, with Brittney Slayes’s voice leading the charge. Their more narrative, melodic era—cemented on albums like Apex and Abyss—brings a tight, fast show where big choruses and precision playing go hand in hand.
