Warhaus lands at La Laiterie in Strasbourg on April 14, 2027, with a project built around Maarten Devoldere (also a member of Balthazar) and his art of songs that are both direct and murky. Here, no fanfare: a nocturnal pop that brushes against indie rock and a hushed folk, carried by deep voices, spare arrangements, and a tension that settles in softly.
Since The Good Lie and the album We Fucked a Flame Into Being (2016), Warhaus has been carving a more intimate vein, between slow ballads, discreet grooves, and electronic touches. The following records, Warhaus (2017) and Ha Ha Heartbreak (2022), have reinforced this taste for melancholic and cinematic atmospheres. With Karaoke Moon (2024), the band continues to move forward at a measured pace, leaving room for silences, for catchy, lingering choruses, and for that dark elegance that takes on its full meaning on stage, surrounded by a loyal lineup of musicians.
