Extra Loop Party x Festival La Bâtie. On Friday 11 September at La Gravière, we’re teaming up with La Bâtie for the festival’s final weekend. Our headline act is Bakimbunu, the duo formed by Ugandan artist Maganda Shakul and British producer Mina.
Hailing from Kampala, Maganda Shakul is an experimental sound artist who creates a raw, complex and intense sound, blending traditional Ugandan rhythms with contemporary club sounds. Mina has been creating vibrant tracks for over 10 years, fusing London sounds with rhythms from around the world. Together, they founded the Bakimbunu project in early 2026, an electronic duo whose sound blends elements of soca, dancehall, bubbling and trance with folk instruments and distorted basslines. The duo will be performing live tracks from their self-titled debut EP, due for release in October 2026. Also on the line-up are BJF, Magz and Imsobaby.
