On October 2, Fiesta Menea will host at Le Lieu Unique for the reopening of the LU club, with an evening featuring live performances, a dance performance, and DJ sets that highlight South American cultures.
Line-up:
- Susobrino, born in Bolivia and based in Brussels, is an artist rooted in the sonic richness of Latin America, fusing acoustic and electronic elements to create an unpredictable sound that harkens back to his roots.
- Huaskar Alcón is a Franco-Bolivian artist, dancer and choreographer, founder of the Mamani company. Through dance, he explores an identity quest and links his indigenous roots to his present as a contemporary artist.
- Caribombo blends rhythms from South America and Africa, where cumbia, dembow, afrobeat and afro-house intersect. He revisits the traditional musical folklore of the Global South with Venezuela in mind.
- La Diabla is a Franco-Argentine DJ and event organizer since 2019. Hailing from Argentina, she embodies the South American underground scene, where traditional rhythms mingle with electronic elements—a scene she misses in France. She brings this creativity to life through reggaeton, cumbia, cumbiaton, perreo, salsa, merengue and guaracha.
Specifically, the evening will unfold as follows:
- 10 p.m.: warm-up by resident DJs Caribombo and La Diabla (back-to-back)
- 10:50 p.m.: a dance performance by Huaskar Alcón
- 11:00 p.m.: live set by Susobrino
- 12:00 a.m.–1:30 a.m.: closing set by Caribombo and La Diabla.
