The event is fast approaching. For this first appearance at 42 Marches in Paris, Daniel Wang returns, ready to take us on a borderless musical journey, alongside Les Yeux Orange and Boogie Frizzante.
From disco to italo, from acid house to balearic, from forgotten gems to the most irresistible grooves: expect an eclectic and unpredictable set, where styles cross, blend, and respond to one another to form a single energy.
Daniel Wang hails from California and lived in New York in the 1990s, but he has been based in Berlin for more than 23 years now. He began frequenting downtown New York clubs in 1988 and notably played at Ostgut, the former Berghain, as early as 2001. For over 25 years, he has traveled the world nearly every two weeks, performing at independent and non-commercial parties and events, from Ireland to Tokyo, from Helsinki to São Paulo. He has notably published interviews with Tee Scott and Vince Montana, and continues today to perform for roller and street dance communities in Berlin. Since 1993, his own productions, edits and occasional remixes, released notably on Balihu, Environ and Rush Hour Records, have been played by DJs around the world, including Cassius, DJ Harvey and Moodymann.
Les Yeux Orange came into being in 2013, when Raphaël and Stan joined forces to share their passion for multiform electronic music. Long-time collectors and DJs, they created a YouTube channel and broadcast podcasts by internationally renowned DJs. They launched shortly after a series of premieres by hosting exclusive tracks daily and became a high-profile promotional platform on SoundCloud for electronic music. At the same time, they created their eponymous label as well as the Good Plus edit label. Meanwhile, they began a residency at La Rotonde Stalingrad where they invited renowned artists, contributing to the venue's success on the Paris scene. Their ability to captivate the dancefloor across a wide musical spectrum leads them to multiply bookings across France and beyond, and then to be invited to play at venues all over Europe.
Boogie Frizzante is a celebration of groove in all its forms. Born in Paris from the meeting of three DJs, diggers and producers from different horizons — Melbourne, Florence and Lyon — the collective draws from disco, italo, boogie, house and electronic music from the 1970s to today. Their approach is to keep creating something new from the old. Decades of playing, producing and digging all kinds of sounds in all sorts of environments nourish a selection guided by the desire to make people dance and to reveal a new universe. Since 2024, Boogie Frizzante has been sweeping the Paris scene, playing venues such as Djoon, Badaboum, La Mazette, Le Virage, Le Consulat Voltaire, Jardin21, while regularly inviting international artists to perform in Paris. The collective brings together Cannelle, Luksek and LeBRON, three internationally active DJs who have shaped their identity across Europe, Asia, Oceania and North America. Together as well as individually, they perform in clubs and festivals around the world, nurturing a shared universe where groove becomes a universal language.
