On March 31, 2027, at Concorde 2 in Brighton, Moses Boyd brings his live set to the seaside with the kind of energy that sits right between jazz club focus and sound system pressure. London-born drummer, producer and composer, he’s part of that UK scene where improvisation meets grime, broken beat, dub and Afrobeat without forcing the blend. On stage, the drums stay at the center: sharp, restless, built for groove as much as for detail.
Known for the direct, modern jazz approach of Binker and Moses with saxophonist Binker Golding, Boyd also carries a wide collaborative background, from Sampha and Little Simz to Four Tet and Sons of Kemet, which you can feel in the way his music shifts texture and weight. Expect material that connects the club pulse and spiritual jazz of Dark Matter with the more voice-led direction of Songs For Sinners, threaded with gospel colours, choir-like harmonies and heavy low-end.
