DMA’s come back in a stripped-back format for an album launch show tied to their new self-titled record. On January 29, 2027, the Australian trio land at Chalk in Brighton for a rare, intimate date ahead of their wider tour, leaning into the core of what made them stick: clean guitars, direct melodies, and that pop-leaning vocal line from Tommy O’Dell.
Since forming in Sydney in 2012 with Matt Mason and Johnny Took, DMA’s have moved between indie and alternative rock with a clear britpop thread, later stretching their sound toward more spacious, sometimes dance-adjacent textures without ditching the guitar-led drive. This acoustic set is the chance to hear those songs brought back to their bare structure, with the hooks and choruses front and center rather than buried in volume.
