Shango’s debut at Standard Time with John Morales, with Kiki LeFreak and Iced Misto.
Shango is Toronto’s underground party for the freaks, geeks, queers, dancers and heads.
John Morales is one of the most recognised names in dance music history as a remixer, producer and DJ. He has mixed and produced many important dance music tracks and has DJ’d at venues around the world.
He has toured Australia, New Zealand and countries around the world. He has his Defected Glitterbox at Hi in Ibiza and Ministry Of Sound London, and has performed at festivals including Defected Croatia, Southport Weekender and 51st State in London.
In music, and especially in underground music, the word “legend” is often used to the point where it loses meaning. A legend is someone who broke the mold, whose sounds, techniques and style changed things. It is a pioneer that many who followed after emulated, whether consciously or not. In dance music, that person is John Morales.
