Cage the Elephant land in Birmingham on February 26, 2027 at O2 Academy Birmingham for a night built on nervous riffs, sharp hooks, and that constant sense they could switch lanes at any second. Born in Kentucky and shaped by years of big stages, the band’s sound pulls from garage rock, abrasive blues, post-punk tension and a splash of psychedelia, with the kind of direct energy that made their early records hit hard.
Over time they’ve stretched out without smoothing the edges: darker, more contrasted songwriting on Melophobia, a more vintage, gritty shine when Dan Auerbach stepped in for Tell Me I’m Pretty, then a tighter, more inward mood on Social Cues. With Neon Pill (2024) adding another twist to the formula, expect a set that jumps between punchy alt-rock and moodier cuts, always driven by the same restless momentum.
