On October 22, 2026, The HU will visit Cologne's Palladium and bring their 'Hunnu Rock' to a place where it makes the most sense live: right in the middle of the crowd. The band from Ulaanbaatar fuses throat singing, heavy riffs, and traditional Mongolian instruments into songs that swing between alternative metal, hard rock, and archaic choirs. By now, at the latest thanks to the early tracks 'Yuve Yuve Yu' and 'Wolf Totem,' it is clear how precisely this blend lands—on stage, it feels even more physical, with pounding rhythms and melodies that sound like the steppe but are firmly rooted in the here and now. Material from The Gereg and Rumble of Thunder provides the framework for a set that does not present tradition as such, but transforms it into electricity.
SKÁLD opens the evening with neo-folk from France, inspired by Norse myths and pagan motifs. Carried by percussion, plucked strings with a traditional timbre, and polyphonic singing, the project led by Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet draws on texts from sagas and folklore, often in Old Norse and other Scandinavian languages. Live, ritual atmosphere meets concert energy—a start that opens the space for what follows.
