On April 13, 2027, at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette, Trivium and In Flames share the bill for a metal night tailored for fans of fast riffs and catchy melodies. Trivium arrives with this mix that has become their signature, uniting thrash, heavy and metalcore: harmonized guitars, tempo changes, alternating between shouted and cleaner vocals, and a chorus sensibility that sits as much with modern metal as with old-school metal. From Ascendancy to In the Court of the Dragon, the band has learned to play on the contrast between speed, tension and more spacious passages, without losing impact. In Flames, pioneers of melodic death metal born in Gothenburg, come to remind listeners where part of the metal sound of the 2000s originates.
