Syd Matters returns to the stage with his distinctive blend of intimate folk and misty pop, carried by Jonathan Morali’s warm voice. Since his beginnings in the early 2000s, the project has introduced songs of luminous melancholy, where melodies seem to float just above the ground. There you find a songwriting that appears simple on the surface, yet precise, capable of holding together acoustic fragility and broader, more expansive, almost cinematic swells.
On March 13, 2027 at L’Astrolabe in Orléans, the concert promises to foreground this repertoire that has become familiar to many, between defining tracks and suspended atmospheres. An opportunity to dive back into a universe that has also spread elsewhere, from the indie scene to music for images, and to experience, live, this very personal way of conveying emotion without overdoing it.
