Birds on a Wire is the meeting of Rosemary Standleys clear voice (Moriarty) and Dom La Nenas cello. Together, they craft a two-person repertoire, without frills, where song rubs shoulders with chamber folk, with old tunes and with pop melodies, all carried by precise acoustic arrangements and a genuine attention to languages and eras.
On February 25, 2027 at the Théâtre des Bergeries in Noisy-le-Sec, the duo comes to unfold this distinctly personal approach to reprising and reinterpreting: to make a baroque piece dialogue with a French chanson, gliding from an Anglo-Saxon standard to a more intimate ballad, always with this balance between the voice and the cello. After Ramages and the most recent Nuées Ardentes, their concert resembles a notebook of revisited pieces, where each title becomes a small scene, at the border between the concert and the theatre.
