A figure of the Egyptian alternative scene, Maryam Saleh makes a stop at New Morning to present her new album, Syrr (secret in Arabic). An intimate, sensitive and deeply embodied record, Syrr explores the territories of memory, loss and transformation through a reinvented, free and contemporary Arabic music. Conceived with Kamilya Jubran and co-produced by Maurice Louca, the album unfolds a sonic universe at the crossroads of poetry, experimentation and raw emotion.
On stage, Maryam Saleh will be joined by:
