Dove Ellis brings his indie folk songwriting to Vicar Street in Dublin on December 12, 2026. Behind the name is Thomas O’Donoghue, an Irish musician who writes close-up, melody-first songs carried by voice and guitar, with a subtle indie rock edge that keeps things from drifting into pure acoustic comfort.
After the self-released EP To the Sandals in 2024, he picked up pace in 2025 with a run of singles like “To the Sandals”, “Love Is” and “Pale Song”, sharpening a modern folk sound built around tight song structures and clear hooks. That momentum led to Blizzard, his first album released in December 2025, a longer-form statement that keeps the same direct approach while opening the arrangements just enough to hint at a broader band energy.
Live, Dove Ellis has already clocked key steps through the independent circuit, including opening for Geese on the Getting Killed World Tour and an Other Voices session recorded at St. James’ Church in late 2025. This show is a chance to hear those songs in their natural habitat: intimate, rhythmic, and straight to the point.
