Megadeth arrives in Nottingham on March 12, 2027 for the Breakout: Hibernation of the Nations Europe Tour 2027. Led by Dave Mustaine, the band remains faithful to that nerve-wracking and razor-sharp thrash metal that has marked them: rapid riffs, structures that fork without warning, and lyrics that look at politics, war, or society’s blind spots. From classics of the Peace Sells... but Who’s Buying? era to the more recent tracks, Megadeth plays on the tension between speed, precision and cutting melodies, with that attention to detail that turns every title into a crowd-pleaser.
On the co-headlining bill, Black Label Society brings its massive heavy metal with a hard rock edge, fronted by Zakk Wylde. Here, the set moves in muscular mid-tempo, with extended solos, a bluesy touch and, at times, more melodic breaths. Between the raw energy of the most direct tracks and the darker or nearly acoustic moments, Black Label Society completes the evening with an omnipresent guitar and a solid groove, tailored for the Nottingham Arena live show.
