Fat Dog arrives with a matinee performance on October 6, 2026 at Rough Trade Nottingham, with an in-store live set conceived to accompany the release of their new album Cancel Me (I’m Tired) on Domino. Born in London and quickly recognised for the intensity of their live shows, the band built its reputation on a deft collision between post-punk, dance-punk and upfront electronics: taut synths, pulsations reminiscent of the rave, and a way of building pressure without ever smoothing the sound.
On stage, Fat Dog channels urgency and momentum, with tracks that love repetition as much as controlled slips, and detours that can veer into colours more unexpected, notably via the saxophone. After sharpening their teeth opening for acts like Yard Act and Viagra Boys and a string of notable singles, they return to present this new record up close, in a tightened, direct, live-ready configuration.
