Info
Born in the Limburgish village of America, Rowwen Hèze has been carving out its own path since the mid-1980s, led by singer-songwriter Jack Poels. The group anchors its rock in the Limburg dialect, with that very direct way of telling everyday life: family, work, village festivals, and that small undertone of melancholy that often returns between two refrains.
On stage, Rowwen Hèze blends folk-rock, Tex-Mex influences, brass bands, polka, and Dutch-language songs. Accordion, brass, and a rock rhythm intersect to create a warm sound, crafted for live performance, balancing collective energy with storytelling.
After an early period nourished by covers, the band established itself with its own material and a steady concert schedule, from clubs to the large tents in southern Netherlands, while expanding collaborations with regional brass ensembles.
Rowwen Hèze will be performing on November 24, 2026 at PLT - Theater Heerlen, in Heerlen.
