A multifaceted artist, performer, pianist, singer and songwriter, La Chica connects worlds: Belleville to Venezuela, Latino folklore to electro, melodies to sonic textures, and aerial shamanism to rhizomatic roots. Sophie Fustec, by her real name, defies clichés and forges a universe populated by warm voices, soft scratches, hybrid ethno-pop and South American psychedelia.
A kind of ritual with evocative electro touches. A mystical and poetic incantation in which voice and piano intertwine to rise. When La Chica sings, it's not just a performance; it's a ritual. Her voice, at once powerful and gentle, fills the air with stories waiting to be told. She reminds her audience, each of us, that to live is to carry within oneself all that has been, all that could be, and to dance in spite of everything.
