Get Closer is back in Amsterdam on August 14, 2026 for a night that centers on two names who read the club floor in their own ways: Luuk van Dijk and DJ Boring. For the first time, they go back-to-back, a setup that promises to glide between driving energy and playful twists, with enough room to challenge each other.
Luuk van Dijk, Amsterdam-based and raised in the Dutch club scene, is known for groove-driven house and tech house: punchy basslines, percussive rhythms and occasional nods to UK garage. His approach is direct and dancefloor-focused, but with attention to detail in the build and timing.
DJ Boring, the project of Australian producer Tristan Hallis, starts from a broad club language: house, breakbeats and techno, with clear rave references from the 1990s and 2000s. Warm textures and melodic haze accompany a selection that smoothly shifts between old and new. Together back-to-back, it sounds like a conversation at full volume.
