Dutch producer Julian Fijma has been building momentum across the underground with a modern take on minimal and deep-tech house: heavy basslines, crisp synths, and drums that keep things moving without tipping into brute force. His tracks are designed for the dancefloor, with that dry groove and gradual tension that works just as well in a tight club as it does in a longer DJ set.
In 2025, things really clicked with “Get Stupid”, a cut built on a flipped rap vocal, a driving organ bassline and a groove that stays locked from start to finish. The track hit the top of Beatport’s Minimal/Deep Tech chart and became the platform’s best-selling release in the genre that year. Backed by selectors like Michael Bibi, Chris Stussy, Enzo Siragusa and Marco Carola, and with releases on Eastenderz, Fijma has carved out a clear spot in the current European house circuit. He lands at Village Studios in Vancouver on September 20, 2026.
