Matthew Herbert occupies a singular place within contemporary electronic music: a British producer, composer and DJ, always halfway between club culture, experimentation and a critical view of the world. Since the 1990s he has been stretching genres with his own method, blending minimal house, downtempo, musique concrète, jazz, and more orchestral writing, and also releasing under aliases such as Doctor Rockit, Radio Boy, or Wishmountain. His music often relies on sounds recorded from everyday life, objects and real environments, brought into conceptual projects where detail matters as much as the pulse. In the booth, he avoids autopilot: he builds a narrative with intention, where club rhythms, abstract textures and a refined sense of editing intersect without losing the music's physicality. On November 20, 2026, at Sala Villanos in Madrid, one of those nights designed for listening and dancing at the same time arrives.
