Formed in 2018, The Messthetics is a band comprised of bassist Joe Lally and drummer Brendan Canty, from the punk-hardcore project Fugazi, as well as guitarist Anthony Pirog. This trio, with jazz-punk-jam sonorities, is joined by saxophonist James Brandon Lewis, who brings a new dimension to their tracks, pushing their musical explorations even further. Their first four-piece album was released in spring 2024 on the Impulse! label.
With t h a l l e, Tatiana Paris continues her exploration of delicate, organic music, where autonomous elements meet to form a harmonious whole. Between experimental song, minimalism, and stretched soundscapes, she blends prepared guitar, voice, modular synthesis, and organ in a sensitive search around time, listening, and randomness. A project at the crossroads of noise and contemplation.
