Liz Lawrence arrives in Bristol for a concert on 20 November 2026 at Strange Brew, with an opening act. Born in Stratford-upon-Avon and having fronted several bands before embarking on a solo career in London, she moves between indie pop, lo-fi folk, and a more direct pop-writing approach, always driven by a real sense of the chorus.
Since Bedroom Hero (2012) and the Health and Safety EP (2014), her world has gained nuance without losing its outward simplicity: crisp guitars, clear melodies, production that lets the voice breathe. In parallel, her duo Cash+David with David LKA opened up a more electro-pop and synth-driven side, which can be heard in touches of her arranging.
On stage, she pulls from a catalog spanning Pity Party (2019) to Peanuts (2024), including Whoosh, The Avalanche, and the EP I Was There, with that slightly melancholic yet direct alternative pop, sitting halfway between the intimate and the catchy.
