Info
On October 28, 2026, at Sala Apolo in Barcelona, Ibrahim Maalouf presents The Trumpets of Michel-Ange (T.O.M.A.), the second chapter of a project in which his trumpet moves between folk music and a modernity all his own, with that blend of groove, melody and tension that has carried him beyond the jazz circuit. Born in Lebanon and raised in France, Maalouf turns his own story into musical material and links it to the legacy of his father, Nassim, the inventor of the quarter-tone microtonal trumpet that he has made his banner.
T.O.M.A is also the name of the trumpet brand designed by Maalouf himself, and on stage it serves as a statement of intent: a sound that opens up new tunings and colors, with a festive and nostalgic East that appears without rigidity, always with rhythmic freedom. The show is conceived as a concert to share, with a pulse of celebration and moments to let oneself be carried away, but without losing sophistication in the arrangements or the care for the musical narrative.
