Since 2022, Jean Tonique and Mi Man have been moving forward together under the name Tonique & Man, with a groovy, luminous pop where analog synths cross paths with meticulously crafted vocal harmonies and warm arrangements. Their thing is balance: immediate melodies, never forced, that give as much space to rhythm as to detail.
After Opening Soon, their first album released in 2023, the duo returns with Where We’re At, a second record recorded in part at Studio Ferber in Paris. Writing and the sense of groove remain at the center, but the frame tightens: two musicians, more direct songs, a more nuanced pop. The production gains depth, the arrangements breathe more, and the voices come to the fore, without erasing this blend of soft disco, contemporary pop, and French elegance. On stage, this new step translates into an energy that remains light, with more intimate moments surfacing. Tonique & Man will perform on January 14, 2027 at Kantine am Berghain in Berlin.
