On April 8, 2027, Aaron Parks arrives at Le Rocher de Palmer in Cenon with his project 'Little Big,' a format that allows him to move beyond the classic jazz trio without renouncing his writing. A pianist and composer born in Seattle and based in New York, Parks first made his name in the early 2000s as much for his collaborations (from Terence Blanchard to Joshua Redman) as for a personal discography where melody and mood count as much as virtuosity.
With Little Big, he pushes this taste for textures and pulse even further: a contemporary jazz that welcomes rock reflexes, electric energy, repetitive motifs, and this highly narrative approach to constructing pieces that stay in the mind.
