Info
Grèn Sémé is an evolving maloya quintet. Between rock poetry, dub pulses and ternary rhythms, Grèn Sémé invents a song imbued with Creole and the maloya of Réunion. Around the engaged and poetic lyrics of singer-percussionist Carlo De Sacco, their writing, mainly in Creole, offers a ballad through a musical village where electronic maloya and African pop fuse on ternary rhythms of the Indian Ocean (maloya-séga-salegy).
After three albums Grèn Sémé (2013), Hors Sol (2016) and Zamroza (2022), and the EP Maloya Gazé which reveals a facet of the Creole ensemble with danceable, revitalizing and organic music conducive to remixes and the dancefloor, the group is set to perform its new album.
