Thaïs presents her show Fille de joie. Family meals are like prostate screening: mandatory once a year, and they touch a sensitive spot. Since Thaïs had grown tired of spending money on therapy, she decided to turn it into a show. And what better way to gather with family than when you are 33, single, childless, a gigging performer, a redhead with a tendency toward Quincke's edema, prone to eczema, and above all, funny. As she often says: 'Jesus, at 33 he was dead too, you know.'
In her new show, presented at the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Cultural Center in Caraman, Thaïs Vauquières takes us through an evening in which we meet a vegan cousin, a father in full revelation, a very open mother, and family secrets that tumble out the moment Uncle opens his mouth. Between impulse-control phobias, respiratory and food allergies, but above all social ones, she delivers a performance nourished by these themes. 'Fille de joie' is the name of the show, and also the way she tries to survive the great festival that is life.
