On 2 October 2026, Cast will return to the stage at The Queen's Hall in Edinburgh. Born in Liverpool in the early 1990s around John Power (ex-The La's), the band has always pursued a clear path: straightforward guitars, instantly catchy melodies, and a Britpop/indie rock blend that remains unpretentious, powered by a distinctly English pop songwriting sensibility.
The concert is set to span the major milestones of the catalog, from All Change (1995) and Mother Nature Calls (1997) to the rougher material of the late 1990s, and not forgetting the 2000s when Cast broadened the spectrum with touches of soul, funk and psychedelia. Reforming since 2010, the power trio led by Power, with Liam "Skin" Tyson and Keith O'Neill, continues to move forward: Love Is the Call (2024) reminds us that Cast still knows how to write direct songs meant to be sung along in venues.
