Alain Chamfort returns to the stage with L’Impermanence, a new chapter in a career that has spanned French pop and song since the 1960s. A pianist in his early days, he passed through the yé-yé era before establishing himself as a solo artist; he has built a distinctive identity, balancing melodic elegance with precise writing. His meeting with Serge Gainsbourg in the 1970s marked a decisive turning point, opening the way to songs that have become landmarks, while affirming Chamfort's signature tone—one of distance, clarity, and gentle irony.
