On April 7, 2027, Piers Faccini will be at La Belle Electrique in Grenoble for a concert that centers on what he does best, in the simplest and most precise way: a voice recognizable from a mile away, an acoustic guitar, and the art of taking listeners on a journey without overdoing it. Born in England into an Anglo-Italian family and raised in the south of France, he has built a path at the crossroads of folk and blues, letting in Mediterranean colors and influences from the Sahel. From Leave No Trace (2004) to Shapes of the Fall (2021), including Tearing Sky and Two Grains of Sand, Faccini refines a direct, unadorned writing, carried by spare arrangements and a palate for modes and rhythms that gently shift the reference points. Based in the Cévennes, he continues this exploration across albums and collaborations, notably with Vincent Ségal, always keeping the same signature: intimate, open, and deeply embodied music.
