Ignite lands in Berlin on November 20, 2026 at the Astra Kulturhaus with what has defined its signature since 1993: a West Coast melodic hardcore that blends punk speed, hardcore tension, and hooks that stick. Born in Orange County, the band built its trajectory with key records, from Scarred for Life to the albums that established them firmly, notably A Place Called Home and Our Darkest Days. The lyrics, meanwhile, keep that social, political, and environmental thread that gives weight to the songs without dampening the momentum.
Since the vocal change, Ignite has moved forward with Eli Santana, who arrived after the Zoltán Téglás era and is fully in place on the Ignite (2022) album. Around him, the quartet led by Brett Rasmussen, with Nik Hill on guitar and Craig Anderson behind the drums, remains faithful to a direct formula: taut melodies, dry energy, and that sense of collective singing built for the stage.
On the co-bill, Cancer Bats bring their front-and-center blend of hardcore punk, metal, and sludge. Formed in Toronto in 2004, the band leans into massive riffs and brisk tempos, between shouted rage and heavy groove, from Birthing the Giant and Hail Destroyer to Psychic Jailbreak (2022), without losing the taste for shows that hit hard.
