Boy Harsher arrives at SWG3 Glasgow on December 2, 2026 with The Heartbreak Tour. The American duo, formed by Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller, have been shaping since their beginnings a taut electronic sound in which darkwave, coldwave and synth-pop rub shoulders with a post-industrial aesthetic. Dry rhythms, tightly woven synth pads, a voice that glides from spoken to sung: their formula is direct, with a minimalist sensibility that leaves room for detail. From Lesser Man to Careful, including Yr Body Is Nothing, Boy Harsher has built a solid catalogue, extended by the creation of their Nude Club label and by an unabashed taste for imagery and cinema, notably around The Runner.
Opening act Choir Boy brings its melancholic synth-pop from Salt Lake City. Led by Adam Klopp, the group plays on stark contrasts: bright arrangements, clear guitars, melodic synths and introspective writing, propelled by a voice with a marked vibrato. From Passive With Desire to Gathering Swans, Choir Boy sits within a New Wave and dream-pop lineage, between 80s romanticism and a more contemporary sensibility.
