If garage rock with nerve is your thing, Black Lips take the stage live on September 6, 2026 at Studio 919 in Victoria, British Columbia. Born in the late 1990s in the Atlanta area, the band led by Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley has spent years blending punk, psychedelia and blues echoes, doo-wop and country, always with a raw, direct and unpolished sound.
On stage, their strong suit remains that knack for weaving short, catchy songs with unbridled energy, between twisted melodies and dirty guitars. Over the years they have broadened the spectrum without losing the essence, from the impact of Good Bad Not Evil to the broader turn of Arabia Mountain, including recent records such as Sing in a World That’s Falling Apart or Apocalypse Love. A night to sweat through fast, lo-fi rock with attitude.
