On September 5, 2026, Todd Edwards lands at NT's Loft in London for a weekend with friends, bringing that signature touch that has reshaped garage music since the 1990s. A producer born in New Jersey, he has forged an instantly recognizable writing style: razor-cut vocal samples, reassembled into taut loops, laid over supple, syncopated house and UK garage grooves, always in motion.
He was spotted early on through the American house scene, with releases on Nervous Records, and he also releases under several aliases, including The Messenger and Sample Choir. His early tracks such as 'Guide My Soul' (1993) or 'Saved My Life' (1994) laid the foundations, before his remixes circulated widely across Europe. Over the 2000s, his albums and the 'Full On' volumes confirm a method: making the samples sing as a rhythmic instrument, without losing the sense of the dancefloor. And, of course, his name remains tied to his collaborations with Daft Punk, from 'Face to Face' to 'Fragments of Time'.
